SNDAY without U.
Another Sunday without Clement. Another Sunday evening at home. Another Sunday night missing you.
But this Sunday bore a special meaning. Today, God spoke to my heart and He renewed my faith in Him, as the sovereign God who knows me better than I know myself.
Sermon today was on ‘The Characteristics of a Spirit Filled employee’ and every word Pastor spoke sounded as if it was meant for me.
And to summarise what I learnt today in one sentence, it would be this:
We aim to please God, not men.
It does not matter if my boss does not appreciate what I did, nor having to survive in this dog-eat-dog world where friendships forge never last. For when I work, I work for God, not men and God will reward His faithful servant accordingly :)
Halfway through the message, I realised that some people behave the way they do because they are subjecting themselves to the world and its standard and as a child of God, I should actively share the good news and let the world know that we have a God who so loved us that He sent His only begotten son to die on the cross for our sins.
And maybe, if God provides the opportunity, I will share with my colleagues about Christ.
It is 630pm now. I wonder what Clement is doing. Snday without U is incomplete.
Anyway, I am truly thankful for the message and for even the sharing with the GCSS folks.
